CONCEPT

1. Park

The park is intended to demonstrate the connections between Christianity, science, and cultural history. The Christian faith is a key foundation of our Western culture. It is based on the Bible, which is presented here to anyone interested in a factual and objective manner. The sole basis of faith for the association “Christlicher Kulturpark e. V.” is the Bible (Old and New Testaments, without Apocrypha), without denominational and confessional special doctrines.
Individual theological or political views will not be given space for presentation here; we limit the project to biblical and scientific information displays and, of course, respect other opinions in any case, as should be self-evident. In various cases, we will also present contrary views, as they are important for the formation of opinions.

In the personal discussions with other park operators (Marc Looy, https://arkencounter.com/ (Kentucky); Aad Peters, Biblical Stories in Sand, https://zandverhalen.nl/ (Holland) and Johan Huibers, who built an ark in original size (Holland), it was repeatedly emphasized that each park should offer something new at regular intervals in order to maintain its attractiveness. In principle, this can be solved with theme-related special exhibitions. A separate exhibition area will be permanently provided for this purpose.

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

Psalm 119:105

2. CONTENT

Meanwhile, there is a business plan, which includes the points 2.1 Motives, 2.2 Concept, 2.3 Legal Form, 2.4 Investment Plan, 2.5 Marketing, 2.6 Financing, 2.7 Distribution and 2.8 Attachments.

The following table only reflects point “2.1 Motives”:

The project is intended to show an alternative to the progressive decline of values in morality, ethics and language. The origin of Western culture is predominantly shaped by Christian values, which are increasingly being lost. Unfortunately, these values and their origins are often not conscious. This decline is particularly evident, among other things, in the current discussions about values, in the events in our schools/country or in various film reports that report on the many hours of daily occupation of many students with digital technology. (FN TV broadcast MONITOR of 16.03.06: many young people play active murder games on the PC for at least 5 hours every day; with regard to linguistic culture, it should be noted that the expressions with which students insult each other are sometimes such that I would not like to repeat them at this point)
This value imprint has a high significance for the coexistence of people in practice, as we treat our fellow human beings according to our values. It is important to counteract this decline in values. One goal of this project is to make people (especially school classes) aware of their high significance and to encourage and invite discussion through the vivid and experiential presentation of Christian history, culture and values.

It is intended to supplement knowledge of German history, Christianity and Bible content. The PISA study, discussions with trainees, decision-makers and our own experiences clearly show that there is a large knowledge deficit about knowledge of our history and our identity.

This project counteracts the dissolution of values and personal identity. The increasing spread of various religions in Germany clearly shows that people are actively searching and have a clear interest in orientation and spiritual experiences. Many parents, teachers and politicians are often overwhelmed with the clear communication and differentiation of other teachings due to their own everyday problems. This project is intended to become a haven of orientation. Perhaps the core of the Christian Gospel must not only be lived and preached, but also better visualized? Make Christianity tangible and easier to understand. What characteristics define Christianity? A clear profile is important. The “value culture” of a nation has an impact on the quality of coexistence.

The project enhances the region with a globally unique attraction. With this “biblical building” (approx. 150 m long, 25 m wide, 15 m high, area on three levels approx. 10,000 sqm) plus supplementary buildings, a very high level of attention will be achieved. The consistent presentation of important content from the 66 biblical books and Christian history will create a cultural attraction in addition to the Ark. We assume that several television stations will report and are confident that this novelty will significantly increase cultural tourism for the region in question. (FN “The tourism industry discovers religious travel”, Internet publication of the Catholic Diocese of the Old Catholics 2004)
Many school classes will use this place for religious and history lessons. To get a better assessment, discussions with experts from the tourism industry are planned. It should be particularly emphasized that, in contrast to the “fun parks”, which lose their attractiveness significantly after a few years, the “Christian Culture |Park” is not subject to any temporal decay.

Additional jobs will be created directly and indirectly. At the current time, a reliable assessment of the additional jobs is not yet possible for us; see also under personnel costs. A distinction must be made between direct jobs that belong to the cultural project and indirect jobs that are connected, for example, with the restaurant, a hotel, the “Park of Encounters” and a bookstore.

Many people are not aware/familiar with the hope contained in the biblical message, which goes beyond death. A particular strength of the Christian message is the (resurrection) hope that goes beyond death; “If I knew that the world would end tomorrow, I would still plant an apple tree today.” (WIKIPEDIA: probable Luther quote)

A serious and binding assessment is not yet possible, as it depends on many different factors. For the willingness to donate, it is important that our association’s purpose has been recognized as non-profit. Our basis is the following assessment: we are initially cautiously assuming an average of approx. 500 park visitors/day . (see also Reiter: COSTS; the Essehof wildlife park near Braunschweig has approx. 90,000 visitors p. a.; the number of visitors to the Creations Park in Kentucky was named with over 1 million visitors p. a. during Dr. Gassmann’s visit in April 2024 in the video about the visit there: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OI4wPtakgc; Website Park in Kentucky: https://arkencounter.com/about/ or https://creationmuseum.org/bible-history/noahs-ark/)

Due to our many positive experiences with the statements of the Bible, we would like to honor and thank God with this project. Our thanks also go to all those who live Christian values in an exemplary and credible way . “Last but not least” we would like to thank all those who encourage us to stick to this important and oversized project. (Luke 1:37 For with God nothing will be impossible.)
